Universal Insurance Plc announced that the Federal High Court granted it leave to commence proceedings against the Nigerian authorities regarding the purported cancellation of its operating licence. The court directed the respondents to show cause by 3 September 2026 and not to take any further action pending the hearing.

Airtel Africa announced a share buyback programme, purchasing 19,108,955 ordinary shares at a volume weighted average price of 336.61 GBp per share since 22 May 2026. The shares purchased from 17 August to 21 August 2026 ranged in price from 319.60 to 327.80 GBp.
