Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of Vantis Terminal(“the Service”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please also read our Privacy Policy and our Financial Disclaimer— the latter is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

What the Service is

Vantis Terminal is a research and portfolio-tracking tool for Nigerian retail investors. It provides market data, AI-assisted analysis, a personal portfolio ledger, alerts, and educational material. The Service is not investment advice and we are not a licensed financial advisor, broker, or fiduciary. See the Disclaimer for the full scope of that statement.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By signing up you represent that you meet that requirement and that you are legally able to enter into a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Your account

• One account per person.
• You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
• Notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, mirror, or otherwise extract material amounts of data from the Service without our written permission.
• Use the Service in a way that would violate Nigerian law, the laws of your country, or the laws of the United States (our hosting jurisdiction).
• Impersonate any person or entity.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, security controls, or access systems you are not authorised to access.
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm other operators or third parties.

Intellectual property

We own the Service, including the source code, the design system, the brand, and the content we author. You own everything you put into the Service — your positions, notes, alerts, and journal entries. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that content as needed to operate the product for you.

Beta status

The Service is currently in free beta. We strive for continuous availability and are migrating the data layer to a fully managed Postgres + Redis stack to support that goal. During beta:

• Features may change without prior notice.
• We may have to roll back or restore data in rare incident recovery scenarios; we will give as much notice as operationally possible if this affects you.
• No formal Service Level Agreement (SLA) is offered.

Liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the Service is capped at the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) ten US dollars. While the Service is in free beta, (a) is by definition zero.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or for any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Termination

You may close your account at any time from settings or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms; where possible we will notify you first and give you a chance to cure the violation.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

Operator review required: confirm this jurisdiction clause with counsel before accepting paying customers from outside Nigeria.

Updates to these Terms

We will notify registered operators by email at least 30 days before any material change to these Terms takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
